Madagascar

A group of Hong Kong enthusiastic Christian came to Madagascar in 1997. They registered Light & Love Home in Madagascar to take care the local people in need, and provide services to the community and build an orphanage. The services provided include: Light and Love School, After-school Tutoring and Activities, Children Day Care Centre, Light and Love Home Scholarship, Free Meal Program for Students and Education Sponsorship.

The Need for School Reconstruction

The hot rainy season lasts from November to April yearly, with abundant rainfall causing frequent flooding in many areas along the eastern coast. When there is heavy rain, there will be serious flooding around the already broken wooden wall school. Since the school building has been around for many years. Therefore, we need to rebuild the school building so that the children can have a safe and good environment to study. 

Food Sharing Programme

Through this programme, the children receive goods such as rice, oil, candies, crackers and other. This food may be very common in Hong Kong, but for them are special. So, the students and their parents are very happy and grateful both to the school and the sponsors.

School Cleaning Day 

The children love to help out to clean the school together, such as sweeping and mopping the floor, wiping the desks and chairs, washing dishes and weeding.
