2. Parents should apply for the "Kindergarten Admission Registration Certificate" (referred to as "Registration Certificate") for their children from September to November 2025. Details will be available on the Education Bureau's website (https://www.edb.gov.hk/en/edu-system/preprimary-kindergarten/kindergarten-k1-admission-arrangements/front.html). If all required information and documents are submitted, the Education Bureau usually completes the review within six to eight weeks and sends the "Registration Certificate" by mail to eligible applicants. If a child is eligible for education in Hong Kong but does not qualify for the scheme, the Education Bureau will issue a "Kindergarten Admission Permit," allowing the child to enroll in participating kindergartens, but parents must pay the full tuition fee before any deductions for scheme subsidies.
Admission Criteria:
1. School-based admission scoring system

Parents will be notified of the admission results by email on or before December 5, 2025 for the admissions applications of school year 2026-2027.
K1 Registration Arrangement:
1. Main applicants: Parents must complete the registration process at the school from January 8 to January 10, 2026 (the "Unified Registration Date"), submitting the "Registration Certificate"/"Admission Permit" and paying the registration fee.
2. Reserve applicants: The school will notify parents to complete the registration process on a specified date, submitting the "Registration Certificate"/"Admission Permit" and paying the registration fee.
3. Parents should note that if they fail to submit the "Registration Certificate"/"Admission Permit" on the specified registration date, the school may not complete the procedures for the accepted child; therefore, it is essential to apply for the relevant registration documents from the Education Bureau by the specified date.
4. The registration fee for the half-day class in the 2026-27 school year is HKD $970; for the full-day class, it is HKD $1,570. All registration fees paid will be refunded within one month after the start of the school year. However, if parents decide to transfer their child after registration, they must notify the school in writing. The school will promptly return the "Registration Certificate"/"Admission Permit," but the registration fee will not be refunded. After retrieving the "Registration Certificate"/"Admission Permit," the school will not retain a place for the child.
Note:
1. Non-local children (e.g., those holding a guarantee letter, or whose parents hold student visas) must obtain permission from the Director of Immigration to receive education in Hong Kong, but will not receive funding under the scheme.
