Words from School Supervisor 

I had been working at Hong Kong Correctional Services for over two decades. Sometimes people say that I am a teacher for “problematic” teens, but they are not bad in nature, most of them were teens under 21 of age. All of these problems may have started all the way back to their childhood, school time, the influence of peers, family problems and others. From the perspectives of psychology of Character-forming completes at 3, it is referring to their pre-schooling age, when children internalize their learning preferences and social skills. If parents lose this opportunity to cultivate and train their children, then once the habit is set, it will be hard to change later.

What should 0-6-years-old do at this stage? childhood spent catching up with homework assignments, it is the reality of this generation of children. Under this highly competitive school environment, childlike insouciant smiles are hard to find. Nonetheless, character building and life education seem relatively less important.

The predominant “One High Four Lows” Phenomenon among schoolers are high academic achievements, low capability for self-care, low-resilience, low- grit level and low self-esteem. Many educators describe that this phenomenon can be potentially corelated with a long list of factors such as: abundant in materials goods, significant amount of homework assignments, countless hours of after school tutorial sessions and interest classes, sleep deprivation, no time for play, lack of interpersonal communication, lack of personal space and parental value system.

The best education is Life Education. In honor to our heavenly Father, we oath to consecrate our best service to the children. We believe “Today’s Children build Tomorrow’ Society”. The principal and experienced teachers are passionate to serve. An abundant life built from the start, we want to help parents to build a strong foundation to maximize the children’s potential.
